March is Women’s History Month. This month, we are celebrating the visionary trail blazers who have gone before us in the effort to advance gender equity and equality. They’ve inspired the changemakers and leaders of today. In the sciences, arts, technology, public service, business, philanthropy, and more, women are making waves. Women around the world are re-writing narratives and breaking barriers.

Among them are the women of the GoodVision Liberia team. Matee Morris, an Ophthalmic nurse and technical team leader, has the role of training supervisor and is the day to day manager of the GoodVision technicians. She is such a beloved leader of the team, they refer to her as ‘mother’. The team’s women technicians, Ade Wilson, Christiana David, Charlotte Quiqui & Doris Wilson, are effective and driven. They continue to step up and volunteer for many tasks, such as providing accounting support in the outreach eye camps.

We also acknowledge that while progress has been made, there is still more that can be done. Together, we can create a world where we all can thrive both personally and professionally. Through advocacy and action, we can push for the changes we wish to see in our society. This month (and every month) let’s continue to lift and uplift women around the world.
