The numbers keep climbing in India, and March was no exception.
GoodVision’s India program, Care Netram, distributed 7,000 pairs of glasses in March alone, setting a new record for the country. It is the latest milestone for what has become GoodVision’s largest and fastest-growing program, operating in a country that is home to the highest rates of preventable vision loss in the world.
The achievement builds on a year of extraordinary momentum. In November 2025, Care Netram surpassed 6,000 people served in a single month for the first time. Just a few months later, that record has already been broken again.
Behind every number is a story like Ishita’s. Ishita, an 11-year-old student from Jamshedpur, was struggling to read the blackboard and keep up with her studies due to poor vision. During a Care Netram screening camp at her school, her vision problem was identified and she was fitted with glasses. She can now follow her classes, focus on her studies, and has gained confidence in her learning. That is what 7,000 pairs of glasses really means.
India is where the need is greatest, and where our team continues to prove what is possible. This is the kind of momentum that changes the world, one pair of glasses at a time.
