With GoodVision’s work, there is a domino effect of social impact. One positive act leads to another one. GoodVision gives the gift of sight. And that is a gift that keeps on giving.

Through the outreach, education, and training of GoodVision Technicians, glasses are becoming more available to those who could not have access to them before. Glasses enable students to see the board in class more clearly and to read their books, thus enabling them to learn and be fully engaged in the classroom. By obtaining an education, they have an opportunity to fulfill their dreams and to reach their full potential. They have the opportunity to learn about many disciplines: science, mathematics, the arts, literature, and so much more. Students learn about history as well as our current ever-changing, fast-paced world. Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. As seen in the story of Philipmena, after receiving her glasses, she began to perform better in school. She now feels more confident in achieving her dreams of attending university and becoming a medical doctor. With glasses, adults are able to work and contribute to the community.

GoodVision also provides an opportunity to give back and serve the community by becoming a GoodVision Technician (GVT). GVTs have a sustainable job that not only enriches their lives, but also positively impacts the lives of others. They are trained to lead outreach programs where they visit schools, religious institutions, and community centers to provide screenings and distribute affordable glasses to those who need them. Through this role, GVTs build leadership and communication skills. Visit our website to learn more about our initiatives and how to continue supporting our life-changing mission.
