Sally Hunt brings a long and diverse career in technology and operations to her role as Treasurer on GoodVision USA’s Board of Directors. With experience spanning operations and project management, software development, system analysis, computer programming, and customer support across a wide range of industries, she offers a strong strategic and technical perspective. Having worn glasses since the age of eight, Sally deeply appreciates the importance of good eyesight and is passionate about using her skills to help build an organization that improves lives through access to quality vision care.
We caught up with her for a quick Q&A:
Q: What excites and inspires you most about GoodVision’s mission?
A: “That we are making a difference and improving the quality of life for so many people.”
Q: What’s been a highlight of your time on the board so far?
A: “Being Treasurer!”
Q: What keeps you inspired to support this work?
A: “The opportunity to change so many people’s lives all over the world.”
Q: What are the strengths, skills, and experiences that you bring to GVUSA to advance our mission?
A: “My experiences as a project manager and Administrative Director in the private sector have been an asset for my ability to contribute to the Board. I am very organized, detail orientated, and dedicated to do my best at what ever I am working on.”
Q: What’s a fun fact people might not know about you?
A: “The evening of my first date with my husband, I slashed my finger with a razor blade and had to go to the ER for stitches. Left a note on the door for him “gone to hospital, be back soon.”
Q: What’s a favorite book, podcast, or quote that inspires you?
A: “The best way to predict the future is to help create it.”
