This week, our GoodVision community is celebrating a milestone we once only dreamed of: 1,000,000 pairs of eyeglasses delivered to people who otherwise could not see clearly.
We don’t know exactly in which village, city, or country the millionth pair found its new owner. But that’s the beauty of it. This is not one person’s moment – it’s all of ours. Every GoodVision Technician in the field, every volunteer, every supporter like you has played a part in bringing this vision to life.
Clear sight means a child can follow lessons at school. It means a mother can sew again to earn income. It means an elderly farmer can work his land without risking injury. It means dignity, opportunity, and hope.
And while we celebrate, 950 million people still wait for their first clear view of the world. The need has never been more urgent, but neither has our ability to meet it. With new digital tools and expanding programs and partnerships, the next million is within our reach and will come faster than ever.
